Mural Project In The East Village

In October 2022, Melody Hesaraky was commissioned to do a mural at a community center located in the East Village in Manhattan. This mural was inspired by one of her paintings, “Peace Makers.”

After a month of dedicated effort, this large-scale mural came to life, embodying the essence of peace and harmony. It stands as a tribute to all beings contributing to the promotion of tranquility in our world. Each stroke of paint reflects the interconnectedness of life, highlighting the beauty in diversity and the power of unity. The mural invites viewers to contemplate the roles we all play in fostering a more harmonious existence, serving as a reminder of the collective responsibility we share in nurturing peace. The mural is located at corner Ave C &, 36 Loisaida Ave, E 3rd St, New York, NY 10009.

“Completing my mural work brought a surge of meaningful interactions with passersby. Each conversation felt genuine and unfiltered, revealing the diverse perspectives and stories of different people. It's one of the most rewarding aspects of creating art in public spaces. The street transforms into a dialogue—a canvas not only for my brush but for shared experiences.”
