During the process of creation, I became the creator.

Melody Hesaraky is a multidisciplinary artist,

director and textile designer based in Brooklyn, NY. She started to paint as early as age four and her art practice and creativity has always been one of the most important parts of her life. She received her BA(Hons) 3D Design & Material Practice degree from University of Brighton in the UK and her MFA degree in Textile Design from the School of fashion at Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Her artistic language doesn’t belong to a specific group of people, a specific gender or a specific nation. It is a universal language. As an artist who has lived around the world and experienced the oneness of the world, her work is a bridge between gaps. Her vision and art smooth out the sharp lines, borders and boxes.

In the world obsessed with speed, her art grew very organically. Day by day with patience, practice and love.
To be able to capture the amount of details I paint

To tap into the untouched and translate it to visual vocabulary

And to let the inspiration flow into my pen, camera or my body

I had to learn patience

I had to draw and create for hours, days, weeks and months seamlessly
During her BA (Hons) Degree in art and design practice at University of Brighton in the UK, Melody explored working with different materials such as ceramics, metal, polymer and wood. This led her to gain experience of making ceramic sculptures, metal jewelry pieces and furniture design.

She spent most of her time in the UK and Europe during those 5 years. After completing her Bachelor's Degree and gaining some work experience, she decided to move to San Francisco in 2014.

In 2015, she entered the School of Fashion at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco. With the focus on fiber art and textile design while completing her MFA Degree, Melody gained great knowledge of fashion and textile history, machinery and technology in fiber art and textile and anthropological aspects of fashion and storytelling through pattern.
